Welcome to DeKalb, Texas. DeKalb is an area with the atmosphere of a friendly hometown neighborly city. The DeKalb Industrial Park consists of 45 acres with any amount available for development. Infrastructure is in place for all facilities. Paved streets are built as development requires. The park is conveniently located at the intersection of U. S. Highways 82 and 259. Plans are being made for U.S. Highway 82 to be widened to 4 lanes, east to west, bypassing the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. The city of DeKalb is located on U. S. 82 less than 1 mile from U. S. 259, 10 miles east on U. S. 82 to Interstate 30 or 7 miles southeast on Farm Road 990 to Interstate 30.

Other events include the Christmas Parade with special music and participation by local merchants.
